What's the best relaxer to use for color-treated hair?

I'm African American and I have very coarse hair and a sensitive scalp. I also have streaks of permanent color on my hair. I have used Designer Touch, but was wondering if there was a better one that I may not have heard of.

ok..i just graduated cosmetology school so i think this might help you out! first of all make sure you colored hair atleast 2 weeks before you relax. i say that only because i dont know what kind of color you used. store bought or what not. use the most sensitive relaxer you can find. honey i really recommend you go spend $50 dollars and let a professional handle it for you because i would hate for your hair to get damaged. if you cant do that just try what i said but it would help if you let someone who can look at your hair and see whats goin on . good luck!!! hope it turns out nice!

All relaxers are bad for your hair period. You stated you have coarse hair and a sensitive scalp. How would putting chemicals in your hair help your scalp? It will just make it worse. Do some research and find out how to work with the hair you got without the use of chemicals. If you want your hair straight, there are other techniques out there besides applying chemicals to your hair.
