im african american with dark brown hair and i want to dye the top hot pink. but i need to know what is the best dye to use and will i have to bleach my hair first to get the full effect?

I recommend using Manic Panic. And leaving it in for an hour or more (you can with this dye, because it hasn't got the bleach chemicals for bleach). And it isn't tested on animals

Don't use Fudge or Paintbox. They don't last long. And makes your hair not so good looking.

You will need to bleach your hair to achieve the pink.

can i reccomend stargazer? the products are vegan are are definitely NOT tested on any animals. i use shocking pink semi-permanant dye- its fab :D if you want bright pink hair, rather than a hint of pink, then im afraid you will need to bleach your hair.... give it serious thought for at least a couple of weeks. they sell the bleach on stargazer too.

i dunno bout urs, but on my monitor the swatch shows up rather purpley- i assure u- ive used this product many times- its def bright pink~ no purple :)

if you were to bleach your hair, then put a pink dye on it, after a while it would fade, and you would have to keep re-dying it every few weeks or it'll look stupid lol
