I was just wondering,how come Asian,Caucasian,and some Latina women's hair grows faster than us AFrican Americans?Also,why is their hear more fuller,and thicker?Is it beacuse one hair strand is usualluy thinner than AfricanAMerican womans?

African Americans have a follicle like a slit, causing very curly, coarse or kinky hair. The growth should be the same, but due to the curl or texture, it may appear that the hair isn't growing as fast. Thick hair is not specific to a race. All races have people with both thin and thick hair.

Hello. Their hair does not grow faster than ours. The problem with our hair is that it is very fragile, and on top of that we relax it, which breaks the hair down even more. I believe all hair grows about a 1/4 inch a month. If you would like to grown out your hair, the first think you need to do is go to a salon and get i good cut. We tend not to want to cut our hair, but since we don't cut it, we tend to have alot of split ends. Those splite ends make the ends of your hair shorter, event though it is growing form the scalp. Do not use over the counter perms. The have no lye in them, but they are harsher than the perms they use at salons. Ask a beautician to show you how to wrap you hair at night. Our hair also breaks of when we are sleeping, when it rubs against the pillow case. You should go to a salon, get a good cut (cutting off all split ends) have them relax it for you and you should wrap it each night. If you do this for a few months, you will start to see how healthy your hair will start to become. Wash your hair once a week, set it in the hard rollers and sit under a dryer. then flat iron it. Try not to blow dry your hair. good luck

LISTEN everyones hair grows at the same rate every month/years. the reason that black girls cant grow any damn hair is because ya'll treat your hair so terribly-you put chemicals in it by perming it,you stress you hair wayyy to much by putting tight weaves and braids in it-and you apply too much heat with hair dryers and hot combs- I am POSITIVE that EVERY black girl in the country would have to the same long pretty hair as the white and asians is they were to just ease up on the perms,weaves and braids,and heat, alot of black women dont know how to take care of there own hair and thats just a shame- if ya'll were to grow your hair naturally n never perm it and take care of it--ya'll would all have long pretty curly hair (not nappy).

im black myself and i am soooo sick and tired of seeing these black women out hair w/ no hair on their heads or a busted obvious weave-its disgusting.

Afro and Indian hair are some of the thickest around. It is usually caucasian women with the thinner hair. My hair is very full and thick because I take care of it. Thats it, just take proper care of your hair and it will be full, long, and thick in no time. My hair is relaxed and in the middle of my back. The rate at which the hair grows is determined by genetics. That is something beyond anyones control. Do not believe ads or articles that say they have a secret formula for growing faster hair. Its all a scam. Your hair will grow on its own time, it is a process that cannot be rushed.
