Do hair weaves look realistic?

Or is it really obvious that it's a weave?

I'm white, and typically black females get weaves, so would it be weird of me to get one? My dad is african american so I have that type of hair but white skin...

I currently straighten my hair everyday but it's so damaging that I'm thinking a weave might be better. Could someone just give me a little insight on if a weave looks good and stuff like that?

Oh and also, I've seen people on ANTM get weaves and they all cry and say it hurts but I'm not sure if it would be worth the pain, so I would like to know about that part too.

I'm bi-racial and had a weave, if you get a good one it looks very realistic. What do you like extentions are, white peole get them all the time. Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and tons of other celebs get them.

Hi, I am a hair dresser and I wear extensions all the time. The only extensions that I see that don't look real are ones that are the wrong texture, and ones that are all dry and stiff. A person from any culture can weave not just black ones. I don't know what the hurting part is about. There are many ways to get extensions and none of them should hurt.
