Colored my hair?

AS it says on the box instructions inside...how to pre treat, etc.

Use caution when attempting this feat...you could cause breakage.

You should be fine but next time you may want to relax, then color your hair because the relaxer might change the color you applied.

Baby girl I would wait a little longer. You probably want a change so If you must use a semi permenant color it has less damage than permanent. Like clairols Jazzin.

If u really dont need a perm now i would wait! But if u really need one use the olive oil treatment perm it is an all natural perm but does less harm to the hair!!

my wife is a hairdresser and she says..." perming can be a tricky thing sometimes.. make sure that your hair is strong enough to perm first as some haircolours can dry out your hair a little bit. Some hairdressers will go for the quick buck and say " yeah it's fine" even tho it is dry... you can see how strong your hair is first by taking a piece of it and stretching it, don't pull too hard.. you should feel some bouncey resistance. If you don't feel any resistance and it snaps... do some deep conditioning treatments for a couple of weeks to get your hair into shape before getting a perm. Be sure to tell your hairdresser who is going to be doing the perm the type of haircolour you used (if you didn't have it professionally coloured and you used a box colour or a henna). Most haircolours are fine to use prior to perming but some haircolours contain " metallic dyes" which can conflict with the perm being used on your hair.. causing a hair drying or melting effect... turning your hair into a mushy mess ( kind of like cotton candy). Most colours now days don't have it.. but air on the side of caution and check just to be sure. If you used a box colour and it doesn't say on it if it is a metallic dye... then call the 1-800 number on the box and make sure. As for your colour itself, chances are the perm will alter the colour by fading it. The best way to go when wanting to colour and perm, is to do the perm first. But don't fret, you can re-colour your hair if it changes the colour too much as long as you aren't lightening it and are depositing colour into it. After you get your perm ask your hairdresser to use a demi colour on it, it contains lots of nice conditioning agents and the colour will turn out beautifully. If you want to colour it yourself at home then wait a good few days so you don't straighten the perm. I hope my advice is helpful!

Good luck!
