How do i manage to have my hair looking pretty when i work out at the gym every day.?

it just sweats all the time and i dont know what to do. i am african american if this helps any. my hair is very long and thick. i wash it three times a week but this does not help any. i am also constantly scratching it.

maybe you need to wash it more... like four or five times a week? that can help because your hair is especially long and thick (just like me!) the scratching may come from dandruff which can come off with good shampooing. while not at the gym you can take care of it with olive oil or hair treatments. =)

For the itching, try Sulpher8 lotion, shampoo and hair grease. Before a workout, put your hair back in a bandanna, that way it won't 'poof'. Then, while it is still in a bandanna, you may try drying it with a hand held hair dryer. Or, it may dry on it's own after awhile. (sometimes I go to the gym in rollers hidden under a bandanna if I have somewhere to be later, that way my style won't get 'sweated' out!) Best of luck to ya!

put your hair up? wear something on ur head? ur working out u shouldnt care about hair cause ur at the gym not at ur hair dressers
