Okay, I was born with naturally red hair! Like CANDY RED hair, and I am of african-american descent, with a complexion like naomi campbell and wavy hair. I don't know how I got my hair color, but it turned over the years. I am not sure if its due to the chemicals that has been used on my hair,...I would like to know if it is possible to get my hair color back to my natural red color?

You could dye it of course, best way to dye it is to find a picture that looks similar to your original hair color and show it to the salon people.

i don't think it's because of the chemicals, because i know i was born with lighter hair, and it turned darker, and the same with my blond friend. I was also born with curly hair, and it became straight. I'm sorry, I dont think it will change back. You could try dying that color though!

I think hair just changes over time, mine has gradually gotten darker over the years but if you're asking if you can get your hair to naturally go back to that color, I don't think so - best bet is what the others have said, find a picture with the color you want and ask your stylist to match it.

try not using chemicals on your hair for a while and see what your roots look like. If that doesn't bring back the natural color then take a photo of you with the hair color you want to a salon and see if a good colorist can get it to the right color.

Hi, ( very jealous of your natural hair colour! damn Aussie Blondie's!!) As a hairstylist, I would recommend you obviously don't colour it, and let it grown through. What happens is, if you have been colouring it for ages, the "natural" colour you had when you were a child, will have been allot lighter that what it will be now, because you spent allot of time in the sun, and not so many haircuts. It will be hard, but well worth the wait! Good luck!

Hair colors and textures naturally change over our lifetimes. I'm sorry to say, but without dying it that color, I don't believe there's a way to naturally get it back.
