"Help! I have thick and easy tangled hair. Any suggestions on how to acheive this problem?'

I am African American mixed with Indian. My hair is very long and strong. I need advice on the best shampoo to use to lessen the tangles.

Please no rude comments!

What the stylists usually prefer is NEVER cut your hair short, (IF IT IS THICK AND CURLY AND POOFY). but on accident or something you do get it cut short, you can fix it by telling the stylist to cut some layers in there somewhere.( LAYERS kinda controll the poof). The best shampoos out there are sooooooooooo many, so simply read the back( I know you might say those sayings on the back are not true, but they kinda work, they worked for me!).

I your hair is Frizzy then choose a shampoo like DOVE EXTRA MOISTURE.

If you want to get kinda a straight hair with out a straightener

then go with something like MATRIX, or LORIEL VIVE, or SAUVE STRAIGHT HAIR SHAMPOO, or SUNSILK STRAIGHTEN UP ( the purple bottle) .

All of these shampoos will kind of make hair straight ( I know Matrix is really expensive but it does work).

If you want absoluty straight hair then use hear protecter ( either a spray or cream) then straighten hair, by SECTIONS and SLOWLY.( the heat protecter will protect hair by not making the hair dry or frizzy.

If you don't like straight hair use any kind of shampoo that is for making the hair curly ( by the way use heat protecter before curling hair).

Just to let you know straight hair shampoos hair a lot of moisture to keep hair layed down.

Straightening hair will make the hair LESS TANGLED CAUSE IT IS STRAIGHT.

or get hair chemically straightened, straight hair, no tangles,

doesn't seem soooo thick! BUT they use harsh cemicals so the hair will kinda be damaged and chemically stragihtening it is kinda expensive like maybe ($100) and you have to keep doing it and you can't curl it or put heat on it it will make the straightening go away.

If you just want detangled hair then use the little kids shampoo made by sauve but make sure you use an adult conditioner to keep hair smooth.

After you use a straight hair shampoo kind of dry your hair and part your hair a little, then tye it in a low pony tail with hair scrunchies coming down all the way down your hair. and leave it like that untile hair is dry.(I know it sounds goofy but it is worth it cause i do the same to my hair and it works everytime but just be on the safe side DON'T GO OUT SIDE with all those hair scrunchies down your hair

HOPE I HELPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about the shampoo but I put Bio-Silk leave in conditioner when I brush my hair and it helps. You can find it at beauty supply stores in the mall. Cost about 10-12 dollars and a little goes a long way

Use the control freak line by bedhead. the conditionor makes your hair soft and tangle-free. its about $15 and you can buy it almost anywhere. if that doesnt work, use a detangling spray.

I use Aussie Hair Insurance. It's a spray-on leave in conditioner that helps with the tangles.

Also Infusium shampoos and conditioners help.

I currently use Biotin 5,000 iu, vitamin E, vitamin B-12 and a multivitamin. Alot of hair growth is from the inside out. mane n' tail is amazing.Avacado oil also has alot of vitamins and is great for the scalp and you can also try lavander oil. i suggest you make sure your hair is deeply conditioned once a week. i personally love the avacado oil (rub into your scalp and hair really well) (buy at healthfood stores) and then on top of that rub in the hemp and placenta mix (packets at walmart in hair section) you can also use olive oil as a great moisturizer as well. make sure to wrap your head in a warm heated towel for about 30 mins or so and then rinse really well. Don't shampoo though or else you undo what you have done. My hair came out super soft and not at all greasy, and very tangle free.
