Hair removal?

I am african-american, dark skin. I have ingrown hair and bumps.

What is the best, clean, quickies way of removing facial hair, without causing bumps are dark spots, and that will leave a nice smooth facial appreance. I have heard good things about eletrolysis that it works provide the doctors uses 1064 long wave, and I heard of bad things such as, it will take many sessions and it may cause redness or/and burn the skin. What would be the best method of removing hair from under the neck and face that will leave it nice and smooth or is there someone who can do it. Your true advice is appreciated.

* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.

* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.

* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with an electric razor, the best of which are probably those from Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US).

Honestly, I would speak with your doctor about it simply because there are so many options out there. One thing is for shure, dont get sucked into scams involving products that promise instant results and can be used in the privacy of your own home. They are just scams.

try waxing, it has to be done every 2 weeks or so when the hair regrows but, the only down side is mild skin irritation that goes away in a few hours, and its only a temporary relief, but, you wont have to worry about the possibilty of a dr screwing up and scarring your face..

Try Sugaring it is awesom and you won't get the bumps or anything like that just smooth skin
