What can I use to streak or highlight my hair that won't damage it? I am african American but have straight fine hair. It will only grow to just past the nape of my neck. It breaks easily. I take hair vitamins and have beautiful nails and skin. Why won't my hair grow? Also, I would like to color it but am afraid it will break. What can I use to highlight my hair that won't damage it. I used African Pride highlights last year. It didn't break my hair but totatlly stopped the growing. I need something way more gentle. Can somebody help?

Ask someone who works at your local drugstore what he/she thinks would work on hair as fine as yours. Try products that are AMMONIA FREE, as ammonia can damage your hair. Hope this helped.

you know there is only one way to tell if your hair is really straight and fine, so are you one of those girls that are pocohantas on top and florida evans on the bottom

most high lights contain bleach which will damage your hair. However, you can color it with an ammonia free rinse.
