How to use a flat iron properly?

1. make sure hair is clean and dry

note: you can also blow dry your hair semi-straight

2. use a heat protectant spray-not too much

3. grab a small 2 inch section

4.put the hair between the plates of the flat iron as close to the scalp as you can get it w/o burning your scalp

5. clamp the flat iron down on the hair and slide it slowly down to the ends. Repeat if necessary.

tip: I usually pin up or tie the rest of the hair that I am not working on so it won't be in the way. I also start from the back of my head and work up towards the front.

tip: when sliding the flat iron down the hair, keep it moving. Don't stop or you might burn the part that you stopped on.

tip: ceramic flat ions distribute heat more evenly than metal ones.(much better for hair)

I straighten my hair almost everyday,Your not going to be able to keep your hair straight with it for a couple of weeks. It doesn't help your hair stay straight for a long time.Usually if you have curly or wavy hair, after your hair gets wet it goes back to normal...wavy or curly.Good luck :) If i'm not answering your question sorry. Just some information

How to use a flat iron properly?

First of all, just to let you know, it won't hold for very long. If you have wavy or curly hair, it will come back after you sleep or get wet. But I straighten my bangs, so I'll help you out.

1.Brush and comb your hair, so it is free of knots.

2. Take a brush that is round , and pull a bit of hair with it, so it is nice and tight.

3. Once your straightener has been heated up, take it and put the bottom hot part, and place it as close to your roots as it will go without burning.

4. Press the top part together with the bottom, and slowly pull it down until you are finished with that section.

5. Keep doing the same thing, until you have done your whole head of hair. [ You may need a friend to do your back hair]

Good Luck!

Keep your flat iron clean. It will last longer and do less damage to your hair.

2. Use a styling aid to prevent frizz before you blow dry. Sealed Ends by BC Bonicure seal the ends of your hair locking out frizziness by 79 percent. Use it after your blow dry to get rid of frizz.

3. Practice before you head out to any major event. It's very easy to use once you get the knack of it.

4. When using the iron on your hair comb, on the section you are using first, before running the iron through it.

5. Try avoiding using any products until you finish straightening out your hair.

6. Use small sections. The smaller the section the flatter and more weightless your hair will be.

7. Use even pressure while stroking your flat iron from the root to the end without stopping on any part of the sectioned hair.

8. Use a wide bristle brush on your hair while brushing your desired shape into place.

9. Use a lightweight serum to smooth any frizz left over. You'll only need a little.

10. Let your iron cool; clean its surface with a cloth so you閳ユ獟l be ready to use it again tomorrow.
