Does having long hair matter to men?

I'm an African american female, who just cut all her relaxed hair for health reasons. I don't get as many looks or dates anymore ever since I cut my hair.

It seems that a man would easily run pass you to say hello to the chick with the long hair.

If I could grow l would grow my hair long enough to reach my back, but I' can't my hair grows out not down. Atleast I have a beautiful afro though. :3

I feel your pain. I used to have long relaxed hair and I want to be natural because my hair was breaking off and it was falling out. I cut my hair in fall of 06 and I never looked back. The guys at my high school are always teasing me about and girls always say "why would you want nappy hair? You're never gonna find a man?" Please, I don't give a sh!t. If you're not a professional stylist with at least 3 celebrity clients I suggest you STFU about my hair! I feel bad for all the Black women who have become dependent on hair relaxers and weaves to get gratification that they are attractive to Black men.I'm tired of all of this self hate. Sometimes I don't want to deal with Black men because they always have something to say about my hair. I'm natural so deal with it! I found more white people digging my hair and saying that I was beautiful. I can't believe a white man had called me beautiful. Me a dark skinned girl with short and kinky hair.My hair grew a little longer and it's 100x stronger than it ever was and I''m happy. I only wear my hair in braids, twists, and I wear my fro sometimes....I would never relax my hair again....That's a promise...

No, some women can rock short hair styles (like Halle Berry, Jada Pickett) and some can't..It depends on the shape of your head..

I do have I guess medium hair to my back, and I don't think guys are attracted to me just because of my hair, it is my body..which is what i wish it wasn't but it is truth..

I'd rather for a guy to want me because of my mind and not how I look..but it seems most guys can't carry on a conversation with me on my level..they just sit and stare(seriously)

I wear my hair in natural braids, and I do rock my fro during the summer time

BUBU I do agree she looked better with long hair but some men I know think differently, some like her better with short hair...to me either way she was still very pretty

i heard on a tv show that men really REALLY like long hair. i just cut 9 inches of my hair off because i have really curly hair and it was getting difficult to manage, but at my school it didnt seem to matter much. if anything im getting more attention. maye its different in the real world?
