im a light skinned african american and i have naturally sandy red hair, but i just put a temporary black dye in my hair, i know when i go back to school people are going to criticize me with black hair. I dyed my hair once before jet black and people said i was too light to dye my hair black.

If you like how it looks then go for it. I know white people who are really pale and look good with jet black hair. I think if you dyed your hair bleach blonde it would look kinda funky. But black or even like a really dark brown wouldn't look "witch"-like. Anyways, just do what you want!

well white people dont look like witches when they do it so idk why anyone would tell you that. that is silly. depending on your hair type, sometimes black hair die makes the hair look greasy. but honestly, i think black hair looks fine.

lol. im asian, and a lot of people mistake me for half black. i have jet black hair and everyone loves it. well they liked the orange and blonde i had in it too. it depends on your confidence. i've seen people with ugly black hair before lol. if you know people gonna make fun of you and you become aware of it, that's when it gets bad. but you know what, if it looked good, people still gonna hate. regardless, people always gonna hate, and always gonna have something to say.. people talked about jesus, the most perfect man in the world. so dont let it bother you. if you like it then rock it!

but, seeing you're not that confident about it, maybe you need some pizzazz to it to make it less.. stiff. that's all you want anyway, that's why you're having doubts about it. just get a dramatic cut, or do a simple crown dye. that's where you take a square part at the top of your head, the same size you'd use for a hump, and dye it blonde or orange. i think orange would look good against your skin, if your hair use to be sandy red. you have an yellowish orange tone to your skin don't you? it'd be sexy. then nobody could tell you nothin =) but if you have a sand tan tone, use blonde.
